Supporting the fight: Honoring cancer awareness

As we prepare for fall activities, October is right around the corner, bringing with it Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This time of year is especially meaningful to me, as I lost my mother to breast cancer eight years ago.

Breast cancer impacts millions of families worldwide, and while advancements have been made in detection and treatment, there’s still much more to be done. October is a time to raise awareness, honor survivors, and reflect on the importance of early detection through self-exams and regular screenings.

In support of this cause, all proceeds from the sale of cancer-themed decals and graphics at Crafts That Care will be donated to our local Susan B. Komen agency. By contributing to this organization, we’re helping to provide critical resources for those affected by breast cancer and funding research that can lead to life-saving breakthroughs.

As fall approaches and October draws near, I encourage you to join us in raising awareness and supporting this vital cause. Together, we can help make a difference and honor the memory of those we’ve lost while standing with those still fighting.
